7 POLICY PILLARS

CORY BOWMAN FOR MAYOR

1. RESPONSIBLE MONEY MANAGEMENT

Effective money management is crucial for Cincinnati to thrive as a city. By prioritizing a well-structured budget, the city can ensure that taxpayer dollars are allocated efficiently to essential services like infrastructure, public safety, and education, rather than being squandered on unnecessary expenses.

Eliminating waste--such as redundant programs or outdated systems-frees up resources for projects that directly benefit residents. Similarly, tackling abuse and corruption, like misuse of funds or unethical contracts, builds trust in local government and ensures fairness.

For a city like Cincinnati, with its rich history and diverse population, sound financial oversight is key to fostering growth, supporting communities, and maintaining a high quality of life for all its citizens.

2. PRACTICAL HOUSING APPROACH

Tackling Cincinnati's housing needs demands a new approach that avoids concentrating poverty in places like the West End while leveraging local talent and rejecting flawed policies. Relying on local developers ensures that projects reflect the city's unique needs and character, keeping economic benefits within the community rather than funneling profits to outsiders.

Meanwhile, divisive and impractical policies like "Connected Communities"-which often prioritize buzzwords and agendas over results-can hinder progress with red tape and misguided priorities. These policies also disregard the resident's desire to preserve and revive properties and neighborhoods that define the unique beauty of our city.

A smarter strategy in housing would foster inclusion and opportunity, provide a clear pathway forward for those encountering hardships, and give Cincinnatians of all economic stages access to better resources and options without being bogged down by bureaucratic nonsense.

3. LOWER REGULATION/TAXES

Deregulation in Cincinnati is essential to unleashing the city's full potential by slashing bureaucratic hurdles and fostering growth. Common-sense permitting and zoning reforms can reduce red tape, enabling small businesses and developers to thrive while enhancing and utilizing our beautiful, historic properties- preserving their legacy without choking progress.

Lowering or even eliminating property taxes, which weigh heavily on homeowners, alongside broader tax reductions and a simplified, common-sense tax code, relieves the financial strain on individuals, families, and businesses.

For a city as vibrant and promising as Cincinnati, these steps can ignite economic energy, ease the path to homeownership, attract new residents, and empower our community to prosper free from excessive government burdens.

4. IMPROVED INFRASTRUCTURE

Improving infrastructure in Cincinnati is critical to support our growing city, bustling events, and popular attractions. Using promised funds to swiftly upgrade roads--clearing them of trash, cracks, unnecessary speed bumps, and those infuriating potholes-ensures safe, smooth travel for residents and visitors alike.

Pairing this with efficient public transportation that's reliable and accessible keeps the city moving and efficient. For a thriving hub like Cincinnati, robust infrastructure isn't just a necessity-it's the backbone that sustains growth, boosts tourism, and enhances daily life, making our city a place where people want to live, work, and play.

5. INCREASED SAFETY

Safety for all Cincinnati residents relies on staunchly supporting the brave individuals of our local law enforcement and fire departments, who serve as the city's true guardians.

These dedicated professionals put their lives on the line daily to protect communities, respond to emergencies, and uphold peace, making them irreplaceable pillars of public safety.

Programs like "311" or "comprehensive violence reduction plans," while well-intentioned, cannot match the direct impact and effectiveness of a well- funded, well-trained police and fire force. In a dynamic city like Cincinnati, prioritizing robust support for these heroes over supplementary initiatives ensures faster responses, stronger deterrence, and a safer environment for all.

6. PROTECTION FOR OUR CHILDREN

Protecting Cincinnati's children from domestic violence, sexual abuse, and trafficking is a moral imperative that demands action and vigilance to ensure their safety and well-being. This starts with policies and laws that harshly combat and prevent the harm of children.

It also involves education-investing in and supporting our outstanding Cincinnati Public Schools to equip kids with knowledge, resilience, and opportunity. Equally vital is safeguarding the unborn, valuing their lives while offering real help and options to future mothers who may feel trapped, empowering them with choices beyond desperation.

In a city as caring and strong as Cincinnati, prioritizing these efforts builds a future where every child-born and unborn-and their families can thrive in a safe, supportive community.

7. FACILITATING GROWTH

Facilitating growth in Cincinnati is vital to drive the city forward, fueling progress in tech, blockchain, manufacturing, financial institutions, food, and innovation.

Cincinnati should aim to be the blockchain capital of the Midwest, leveraging its potential for secure, groundbreaking systems, while becoming the top destination for cuisine, art, fashion, and business-blending its rich culture with modern flair.

Advancing food innovation elevates its culinary scene, and prioritizing Al, logistics, and manufacturing strengthens its economic core. By embracing these strengths, Cincinnati can draw global talent and investment, positioning itself as a vibrant hub where creativity, commerce, and cutting-edge industry converge.
