Cory is a native of Ohio and graduate of the Farmer’s School of Business at Miami (OH) University. Shortly after graduating at Miami in December of 2011, Cory decided to pursue ministry, studying at River University in Tampa, Florida.

There, he met his wife, Jordan, an Oklahoma native, who also felt called to serve in Tampa. Together, they married and worked in various ministry roles—from youth leadership to media production—while starting their family, which now includes three children, Sawyer, Finn, and Hazel, with a fourth due this summer.
Feeling a call to return to his roots, Cory, alongside Jordan, planted The River Church in Cincinnati,
driven by a vision to see lives impacted for eternity through God’s Love and Word.
In 2022, they further deepened their commitment to the community by co-founding Kings Arms Coffee in the West End, a local business designed to foster connection and strengthen neighborhood ties. Cory and his wife settled in the College Hill neighborhood, balancing their growing family and civic endeavors.
In 2025, inspired by his half-brother Vice President JD Vance’s inauguration—an event he cheered with immense pride—Cory announced his candidacy for mayor, becoming the first Republican to run since 2009. His campaign blends his deep community roots with a commitment to prosperity, growth, and conservative principles, aiming to address issues like development and housing equity. With Jordan by his side, raising their
family,
Cory envisions a Cincinnati of revival, economic vitality, and empowered citizens shaping their own future.
